Wompam Beads

There is still more to share for our Tuesday. After lunch we decided to get into our first week of Adventures in America. Week one is Native Americans. Part of the lesson is the fact that they used beads to trade for items as there was no money during their time. Wompam beads to be exact! So we pulled out our clay and made a variety of beads. And how fun - Kim and the girls came by as we were into this project so they were able to participate too.
the shaped beads, notice the weird looking barbell -
well David decided instead of beads to make a baton
for a rat... (sister is a majorette)

here are all the kids painting their beads (and baton)

Emily made an E

Hope made a swirly and Hayden a M for me

I think David was over pictures LOL

while the beads were "cooking" the kids all
played Who Am I, more commonly known as
Headbandz. David and Hayden also played Monopoly
City, but I forgot to get a pic.
