Crayon Cookies

We have had a really busy week fulll of lots of fun, despite the stormy weather. And wow it's only Tuesday.
Emily's mom dropped her and a friend off early Monday morning. After some chores I dropped the girls and David off at the mall to ice skate, eat lunch and do a little shopping, while I ran errands. They were there 5 hours and seemed to have a great time.
Today the girls did a few more chores while David and I worked on some school work. Then we decided to do some of his projects today because the girls sounded interested.
First we made crayon cookies - this is the experiment to go with our Liquids & Solids lesson in Intro to Science. David was funny because he believed we could make the solid become a liquid, but he did not believe we could turn it back into a solid. At the end he said "I were wrong!" Here are pictures of our crayon cookies.
step 1 take all the paper off the crayons

step two arrange them in mini-muffin cups
note: if you don't use disposable tinfoil - you must use
foil lined muffin liners

after a few minutes in the oven
  our solids are liquid
after a few minutes to cool off our liquid is a solid again
a neat multi-colored crayon that looks like a
resses cup :-)
